Gasparilla Festival of the Arts
Please join us March 4th and 5th for the 47th Gasparilla Festival of the Arts taking place at Curtis Hixon Water Front Park in downtown Tampa. You can find me in Booth 14 which is down by the beautiful River Walk. There are over 200 great artists showing their work in all mediums. It will be a great time and a lot to see and hope to see you there!
Winter Park Autumn Arts Festival is only a few weeks away! (October 8th & 9th) As many of you know, Winter Park is a beautiful place to visit and especially during their two great art shows. In the next few days I will preview the over 40 new pieces made for this show. Many of them are the "Wood & Water" series finished in crystal clear epoxy and ready for cut flowers and water. Hope to see you there! You will find Urban Wood Creations in booth 19 in the attached site map.

From dead tree to art
urban wood creations is humbled to announce that we've been chosen to participate in the 2016 Decatur Arts Festival. The Decatur Arts Festival is a cornerstone event of the Decatur Arts Alliance, a nonprofit partnership of artists, business owners, residents, and government dedicated to supporting and enhancing the arts in the city of Decatur. The DAA strives to deliver a fresh full-spectrum arts experience throughout the year and provides a collaborative environment where artists thrive.
Today the invitation to the Decatur Arts Festival came through! I will be participating in the festival May 28th and 29th. It is exciting for me to show my work in my home town. I hope to see my old friends and maybe make some new ones! Hope you can stop by - more to follow as the time gets closer.
In case you are wondering, this is what 30lb of "fluffed" up wood looks like after turning a 45lb blank to a 15lb rough turned bowl.
